Oulu Career Track – Live and Work in Oulu

Have you moved to Finland because of your spouse’s work or study?
Do you need guidance and support in your job search in the Oulu region?

Then the Oulu Career Track Program for International Spouses is for you! 

The Oulu Career Track program assists international spouses in settling in Oulu as smoothly as possible, as well as assisting with job searches and networking.

What does the program offer? 

We provide guidance on employment and studying as well as information about different services in the Oulu region, related to job-seeking, entrepreneurship, and improving your Finnish language skills. 

Through this program, you will gain a better understanding of the labor market in the Oulu region. As a way of strengthening your own integration, you will discover the different options for employment and education available. You will also hear and learn more about the free time activities, networking possibilities and healthcare services in Oulu.

Target group

You are eligible for this program primarily if you moved to Finland because of your spouse’s job or study and you live in the Oulu region.

In case you have moved to Finland for some other reason and wish to take part in the program, note that the primary target group is firstly chosen to participate in the sessions. Some sessions have a limited number of participants.

Implementation

We offer face-to-face and online meetings according to schedule. All sessions are conducted in English and are free of charge. 

Duration

It is possible to attend up to 12 sessions (6 face-to-face + 6 online). In addition, we offer 12 guidance sessions with a focus on individual guidance (6 pop-up sessions + 6 by appointment. You can choose which sessions you wish to participate in, according to your own schedule and needs. Online and face-to-face sessions are similar in their content. The schedule will be updated during spring time. In total the program lasts until May 2023.
